The album sleeve gave the game away: this time the letter was an “N”. F-I-N stands for “end” in Spanish. The band announced their split.

“Mi Novela Autobiográfica” (the song) is one of the best songs ever in LE MANS very fruitful career: a splendid sample of danceable pop with soul and trip-hop flavours, with wonderful lyirics which are really a statement of the band’s personality. At the same time than this Maxi/CD-single we released a limited edition, coloured vinyl single featuring this song and its instrumental version on the B-side, as a kind of tribute to those singles of the 70’s.

In “Revelación” they not only experiment with the sound and the recording studio, but also introduce a bilingual lyric, as they already did in their second LP “Entresemana” (even though it was Italian then, instead of French, the language used).

“La Balada De La Primavera” (The Ballad Of The Spring), as its name suggests, is an optimistic and hopeful answer to the autumnal sadness from “Saudade”, a beautiful love song featuring a sample by THE RONNETTES. “Catástrofe nº 17”, on the other hand, is the song that’s closer to the spirit of such an influential record: if you could already note the lessons of British genius Nick Drake in a big part of “Saudade”, we could consider this song as a true homage, adapting LE MANS’ very personal universe to the style of the tormented singer.
