NIZA is a young duo from Madrid, formed by Roberto (guitars, programming) and Silvia (vocals, programming). This is their very first record, including five delicate songs, fragile and innocent, very cautivating due to their honesty and simpleness.

In NIZA we can find some of the virtues that we most admire in a starting band: a wonderful female voice, Silvia´s, helped in this recording and in live shows by Marta and Violeta; Edu from METEOSAT also helps by playing some bass), soft arrangements where guitars and electronics go hand in hand in a natural way, refreshing and inspired choruses...
Part of NIZA’s charm also resides in their lyrics in Spanish, where they talk of very day-to-day things, of small details that aren’t supposed to make a big difference -like a whim for buying chocolates at night, or some quiet walk by the beautiful French town that gives them artistic name-, unimportant things that turn out to be quite important at the end of the day. In fact, NIZA’s music could be defined in that way as well. Simple, colourful pop music, which ends up being indispensable.
NIZA’s songs are usally whispering mid-tempos, though there’s also space for some explosion of energy, like “Me Da Igual”, which gaily closes the record. Some other times, they even become more fragile and lazy, and then they compose something as beautiful as “Estival”.
NIZA is a tiny pop treat, for the most delicate palates only.
