On the early nineties there was a great explosion of alternative/indie bands in Spain. Most of them came from small towns rather than big cities. Strange enough, one of the focal points of this new pop scene was localized in some really small villages around the city of Sevilla. One of this villages was San Juan de Aznalfarache, who originated names like PEQUEÑAS COSAS FURIOSAS, SR CHINARRO or HEBRIDAS. The latter was formed in 1989, and after going through the usual line-up changes (including a fleeting guitar role by Antonio Luque from SR CHINARRO) the band takes its definite shape when Sandra joins to do the vocals in 1993.

They open SR CHINARRO in Madrid, and thanks to that they sign for Elefant Records, always eager for the newest pop sensation! The first EP comes out in 1993 under the title “Con ojos de niño”. These songs show the main influences of the band: TEENAGE FANCLUB, REM, PIXIES, DREAM SINDICATE... Sandra‘s vocals also brings comparisons to MADDER ROSE or JULIANA HATFIELD.

Their first album “Quien dijo mieo?”, appears in 1994. But shortly after the band splits. Some of their members reappear in some line-ups of SR CHINARRO.
