Embracing bossa and Latin roots mixed with an easy-listening pop flavour, akin to Burt Bacharach, the song skips and floats along, capturing that wonderful feeling of giddiness brought on by falling in love. Maddie's effortless delivery is beautifully complemented by a light orchestral arrangement, a playful flugelhorn solo, and gorgeous backing vocals from Charley Westerman. This track offers a taste of what’s to come from THE YEARNING, ahead of their new album, also titled “The Rush Of Love”, where they explore all aspects of the subject through a blend of bossa, samba, jazz, soul and, of course, orchestral pop, filled with the timeless melodies that have become their trademark.
