FITNESS FOREVER "L'amour" Single Digital

“Amore e Salute”, the imminent new album from FITNESS FOREVER, is full of stories of chansonniers, that type of man of a certain age who is full of class, intelligence, charm and elegance, who is vocally persuasive and possesses a magnetic look. The story of “L’Amour”, the new advance single for the album, is actually the story of how Carlos Valderrama felt like a chansonnier himself at a certain moment. Valderrama explains it like this:

“One night, a few years ago, I was in Paris with some friends. We were in the Montmartre neighborhood, really close to the Sacre-Coeur, in one of the most romantic places in the world, and it just broke my heart. There was so much beauty around me, but the world as I had known it up to that moment seemed to be falling apart.

I was sure that at that exact moment, forces beyond my control had turned me into a monumental chansonnier. When I got back home, my hands played strange, melancholic chords, both hands working together to create something that I was not expecting, which is now the introduction to this song, which I wrote in a rush of magic and which, after the piano intro, turns into a kind of colorful vaudeville, almost in the style of Foliés Bergere, where the protagonist is surrounded by lights, fun, interesting people from the Parisian jetset. He gives the impression that he’s having fun but really, he wants to get back to Torre Del Greco and hide, as soon as he possibly can.

I have always felt inadequate in all places and situations that aren’t my own home (and preferably alone), and this “L’Amour” is one of the songs I wrote that most accurately represents me”.

“L’Amour” is a fantasy that fills us with a spark, glamour, and elegance, with its exquisite arrangements (trademark of the Italian band at this point), and it shows us the incredible things FITNESS FOREVER’s music is capable of, playing with different musical styles, making us dance, and evoking impossible scenes.
