FITNESS FOREVER (Feat. CALCUTTA) "A Vele Spiegate" Single Digital

We’re going to get ourselves ready before we write this text, because sometimes we get a little (or a lot) worked up when we know that we have a bunch of good news to share with you.

The first is that there is a new FITNESS FOREVER single (which you probably figured out from the title of this content).

The second is that it includes the incredible collaboration of CALCUTTA, the most important voice of the latest generation of Italian singer-songwriters who is able to evoke the greatest, lends his unique sensibility to this song, which is a true sonic journey.

The third is the first advance single of their new album, “Amore e Salute”, which has already been recorded and is full of surprises.

The fourth is that Carlos Valderrama’s crew continues with their exercise in musical genius, investigating different styles, but without ever losing the beat for us to dance to and get excited about. We don’t even have words to express the rest of the news. We need to stop the press, hit play, and pay complete attention to the music.

“A Vele Spiegate” is an exercise in colorful jazz-funk that makes us think of composers like Alberto Radius (in the late 70s) or the arrangements of Arthur Verocai. The song makes us feel like we are on a boat, sailing from Naples to Sorrento and then from there to some specific, safe destination. It’s a metaphor for life when you are in the middle of everything, when none of the questions have clear answers, and when the only solution is to take it as a carnival, a game, to enjoy each moment, and try everything you can.

And there’s one more small surprise: in the final verses you can hear the magical voice of Alan Sorrenti, an authentic legend of psychedelic, funk and Italo disco music, bringing the generational and emotional short circuit of Italian music full circle, including simultaneously the past, present and future of the best pop music produced in Italy.

The final touch is that Pooley (Woom Studio), who has made so many videos for Elefant, throws all his talent into putting images to this magical, spellbinding song.
