Release Digital Single and Video for “Cosmos III”. The song, the only one on the album that Scialdone sings, evokes the funk hallucinations of SUN RA or Stevie Wonder with a carefree spirit, reflected in crystal balls and ultra-bright neon. Our hips are still shaking from the first time we heard them. To complete the digital single, there is a spectacular remix by MODULAR, that gives our Argentinian band that spacey touch with a cocktail flavor they know how to work so well. Mariana and Pablo have created a spacey Dub to float on the most exclusive dance floors on Saturn. And to wrap things up, there’s a live acoustic version, produced by DUO BORDÉL (guitar and viola) that includes the participation of FITNESS FOREVER’s flute player, Francesca Diletta Iavarone, and the vocals of Carlos Valderrama himself. It’s a totally different, intimate version, but surprising and full of emotion.   The cherry on top is the sparkling new video full of sequins, bright signs, and 70s-styled visual effects. Like an old, found VHS of the recording of a group simulating a live studio performance on the typical Saturday afternoon music show, with a very particular singer, showing the band’s great sense of humor.

Release the Digital Single and Video for "Tonight" (feat. KIDSAREDEAD), the advance from their upcoming album. As a taste of what’s coming after summer, we are offering you “Tonight”, the title track of the album and a song that has become, in its own right, the first single and video; it’s a super hit that passes over the most brilliant moments of DAFT PUNK, BELLE AND SEBASTIAN, Guille Milkyway and TAHITI 80. The liberation that happens under the neon lights, the dreamy chords, the seductive, contagious groove, the romance of the ephemeral, the fascinating wind instruments, the unforgettable melodies… All of this is on the table, to take the magical nights of summer beyond the stars.

FITNESS FOREVER: Release the 7” single "Canadian Ranger", an advance of their third album “Tonight”  

The first time we heard “Canadian Ranger” our jaws dropped. Stupefied. Amazed. There are very few songs like this one, these days. Because “Canadian Ranger” is an eternal song.   And to top things off, the B-side of this single is another stroke of genius, this time with Italian roots. It is a previously unreleased track that will not appear on the album.

FITNESS FOREVER: Release their third album, “Tonight” . Calling an album full of Italian-disco “Tonight” is a total declaration of intent. Without mercy. Carlos Valderramaand company’s third album doesn’t let you rest for even a second. Blood, sweat, and tears on the dance floor. Syncopated rhythms, instrumental exuberance, unforgettable melodies. It’s a fine line between those minutes of wakefulness and drifting off into a light sleep, in that undefined space where dreams begin. And all of this is floating around the epicenter of a triangle formed by, on one side, great composers, both Italian and classic, who nourished FITNESS FOREVER’s first album in 2009, “Personal Train” (Ennio Morricone,Nico Fidenco,Gino Paoli, Piero Umiliani and Burt Bacharach). The second side of the triangle is the soft-pop inspiration of the second album, “Cosmos” from 2013 (Paul Williams, Marcos Valle, Serge Gainsbourg and Lucio Battisti), and the third side is the dark, classical names from the Italian-disco tradition scratched from the shelves of the most intrepid music lovers (NUMBER ONE ENSEMBLE, KANO, LE STREGHE, EVA EVA EVA,Alberto Radius,Adriano Pappalardo,Enzo Carella,Franco Califano,Filipponio). And the triangle is wrapped in a dose of the current and contemporary, and the ambiance you can find in bands like JUSTICE, THE GO! TEAM, METRONOMY and DAFT PUNK.

FITNESS FOREVER (Feat. CALCUTTA) "A Vele Spiegate" Single Digital

The first advance single of their new album, “Amore e Salute”. “A Vele Spiegate” is an exercise in colorful jazz-funk that makes us think of composers like Alberto Radius (in the late 70s) or the arrangements of Arthur Verocai. The song makes us feel like we are on a boat, sailing from Naples to Sorrento and then from there to some specific, safe destination. It’s a metaphor for life when you are in the middle of everything, when none of the questions have clear answers, and when the only solution is to take it as a carnival, a game, to enjoy each moment, and try everything you can.

“Ischia”, tells the story of the latter, but to tell the story of Bongusto, we need to start with the incredible and exceptional collaborator that Carlos Valderrama and company worked with: Peppino Di Capri. There is no one in Italy who doesn’t know Peppino Di Capri, an authentic living legend with seven decades of music under his belt, reinventing himself constantly and always staying alive in everyone’s hearts, injecting his pop and Neopolitan vision into any language he comes across.

FITNESS FOREVER "Amore e Salute" LP

Chansonnier. That man that is equal parts age and class, full of wit, charm, irony and insight, who possesses a voice that is an exercise in persuasion in and of itself. The most recent album from FITNESS FOREVER focuses on this figure that has almost completely disappeared from the musical universe, and belongs to decades past. “Amore E Salute”, far from being an exercise in nostalgia, musically recreates the atmospheres that surrounded these characters and remembers the stories of some of them, many of whom we have met on the various advance singles. There is no way to talk about this album other than to go through the songs that play with funk and disco music from infinite perspectives, taking it around the world and filling it with the group’s trademark exuberant arrangements.
