There are now six advance singles taken from the album that, after this summer, will be released by Soleá Morente with the incredible production of Guille Milkyway. We can't call it a partnership or a collaboration. Let's call it an alloy. Because the creative spirits of two of the key composers of Spanish pop music of the 21st century merge in composition and, accompanying each other hand in hand, give new meaning to the concept of teamwork. Together they have created an album that will mark a milestone in their careers and which, we can already say it, will be entitled “Sirio B”, like the brightest visible star in the night sky. Which explains a lot about this new album by Soleá Morente, by Guille, about its songs and the lyrics and messages they contain. “Mi Cura” is a new wonder that comes to us as a preview.
An Europop hit with influences of contemporary Brazilian funk, that mercilessly attacks the dancefloor, and at the same time unfolds an existentialist discourse. It does so through lyrics that speak of the memory of the father and reflect on the concern about how the world works, the fear of madness in the face of confusion, and love as a response to the vicissitudes that life sometimes imposes. A lyric that dialogues with Hamlet and Franco Battiato, that contrasts the mysticism of believing in what awaits us somewhere in the world with the description of the process of love. It moves and liberates us in equal parts.
And while we listen and dance, we look at the sky and wait with infinite desire for the arrival of the brightest star in the universe.
