Here is the debut of a very young band, as all the members are in their teens. Despite their youth, and the fact this is their first professional recording, they are very experienced concerning playing live, so they have managed to develop an extremely solid sound, based on frantic punk-pop guitars and innocent, fresh vocals courtesy of sixteen year old Sandra.
In this recording they have not been alone, as they’ve been assisted by Carlos Torero, which has helped with his production skills to get the strength of their live performances to arrive save and well to this CD-Single, and to its limited seven-inch version! They have also been helped by members of several Elefant bands, like Elena FLECHAZOS and Juan from LA MONJA ENANA on keyboards, and Silvia from NIZA (plus Diana from Yo-Yo fanzine) on backing vocals.
But the first to be praised are JUNIPER MOON themselves, due to their collection of vigorous pop pills, short-lengthed but super abundant in catching energy, teenage self-confidence and hyper-vitamined guitars. It’s been long since the last time we listened to such a powerful and overwhelming guitar-pop debut. Once a JUNIPER MOON track starts you can help going bouncing up and down and dancing like crazy.
“Volverás”, the title track, is a smashing hit. Just as the other four songs in this record! JUNIPER MOON are destined to cause a conmotion in a whole generation of teenage minds, and the not so teenage should take care as well.
