Wild Balbina - Stay Alive

Wild Balbina might be from Vigo, Spain but the sound they've captured sounds like a crackling midpoint between the Breeders and Best Coast, honeyed and harmonic melodies shrouded in fuzz and distortion. It's a promising taste of recent album Sisters Before Misters (out 13th October), around which they're playing the UK 25th anniversary parties for their estimable label Elefant in Cardiff - 24th, Clwb Ifor Bach, with The School and Rosie Totem Terrors' own Oh Peas! - and London - 25th, Lexington, with Evans The Death and Amelia Fletcher's The Catenary Wires.
