Radio Nowhere Special News [uk]

There are a lot of different magazines, newspapers, radio stations, websites and television channels that Elefant is a fan of and Radio Nowhere is, without a doubt, one of them. It is a non-commercial British online radio program that came about in 2002 with the idea of finding a space for those options that fall off the beaten path of the mass media, and that today has over 250,000 listeners across more than 30 countries. We at Elefant can congratulate ourselves because some of our artists, like PAPA TOPO, LINDA GUILALA and COLA JET SET have been groups of the month on this online radio.

And our addiction to their broadcasts has gotten even bigger, if such a thing is even possible, thanks to the latest news. For the show’s fourth anniversary, this past May 16th, Christopher Laird did an Elefant Records special, in which they also gave away copies of our compilation album, the first release from the “Space Escapade” collection. This will happen again on the May 22 show of Ruby’s Chicky Boil-Ups, and it will probably happen again this coming August, when Radio Nowhere covers the Indietracks Festival, in which Elefant bands like GUATAFAN, PAPA TOPO, ZIPPER, BAND ÀPART and JUST HANDSHAKES (WE'RE BRITISH) will perform. You can listen to the broadcast, or the podcasts, whichever you prefer, at http://www.radionowhere.org Don’t miss it!
