LA Bien Querida releases her first disc, "Romancero"

Elefant has the privilege of finally releasing the debut album of LA BIEN QUERIDA, the stage name of Ana Fernández-Villaverde. It is one of the most anticipated albums of Spanish indie-pop in recent years due to the enormous impression that her demo made, both in the press (chosen best of 2007 by Mondo Sonoro and highlighted by Rockdelux) and with the public (her myspace page, with more than 125,000 listens, is one of the most visited pages for an artist who hasn’t released an album). Even among other musicians (not only are J from LOS PLANETAS, David from BEEF and LA BUENA VIDA fans, Antonio Luque of SR CHINARRO even lent her his band in her first concerts. LA BIEN QUERIDA recorded “Romancero” with David Rodríguez (BEEF), fitting the creativity that David shows in his solo project LA ESTRELLA DE DAVID with the clean sounds and sweet voice in her marvelous songs. And it’s a magical union of charming melodies with stratospheric arrangements and a unique production that mixes flamenco, Arab music, rancheras and even techno, turning every song into a small work of art, with a moving capacity to reach your heart , and lyrics that are as sincere as they are intelligent.
