LA CASA AZUL (Feat. dani dicostas) "En Mi Cabeza" Single

Every time a new song from LA CASA AZUL comes out, we’re filled with excitement, anticipation, impatience,

surprise… All these emotions jostle for position as we wait for the first note. But then we press play and listen: “En

Mi Cabeza” is a real milestone and brimming with beauty. A timeless song, which also features a stellar

collaboration with dani dicostas. With that sweet, unique voice of hers, dani fits perfectly into the world of LA

CASA AZUL. The magic between their two voices is undeniable – something that was already evident in Guille’s

2020 remix of “Si Te Vas”, one of dani dicostas’ earliest songs.

 

It will come as no surprise to anyone if we say it’s a proper, ultra-danceable Europop hit, complete with vocoders

and sky-high BPMs. But there are plenty of surprises in this song. The string arrangements and the baroque pop

spirit – somewhere between Michael Nyman and THE DIVINE COMEDY – evoke that impossible blend of

electronica and lyricism that Guille has made entirely his own. And that bridge. THAT BRIDGE!... It evokes so

many things (ELO, DINARAMA, THE BEACH BOYS), it leaves time hanging in the balance, it thrills you as you

skydive towards the dizzying finale. A totally crazy ending, as if several bands from the Elephant 6 collective (THE

APPLES IN STEREO, OF MONTREAL, NEUTRAL MILK HOTEL ...) had gotten together in a garage to throw a

college party. Barely four minutes that leave you exhausted, yet at the same time with the urge to start all over

again. Like hurtling down a massive water slide, coming out refreshed and dizzy, pausing for two seconds, taking a

breath, and then knowing that you’re inevitably going to go down it all over again. You have to do it time and time

again to try and make sense of everything that’s happening, whilst at the same time savouring every single

moment.

 

Because we all live with a constant yearning for something that might have happened, something that never did

happen and that we desperately wanted to achieve. Something that exists only in our minds, which we imagine and

feel as if it were real, but which is actually like daydreaming or a side road that offers us a different view of our lives.

And that’s what “En Mi Cabeza” is about: when you close your eyes and anything is possible in your mind.

The fifth advance single of an album we’re eagerly awaiting as if it were a basic necessity. “Fauna Y Flora

Subacuática” will be released in two parts: “Fauna Subacuática” is due out on 27 November 2026, and “Flora

Subacuática” on 5 February 2027. And we can now discover a little of “Fluidux”, that liquid planet on which Guille

has built his new musical laboratory. A world of pink liquids of varying densities, with many properties that provide

key nutrients which regulate physical energy and brain chemistry. Guille creates music from “Fluidux” and sends it

to planet Earth to help human beings with their anxiety, disillusionment and despair.
