Biography

There’s no band like THE HAYWAINS to illustrate British peculiar sense of humour; a band which constantly breaks all kind of stereotypes, with their extremely ironic and cheerful kind of pop.

With three albums on their credit yet (on such a renowned label as Vinyl Japan), and a lot of singles on diverse labels from all over the world, THE HAYWAINS are on the very front line of British indie-pop in the nineties.

Try to put inexhaustible batteries to THE HOUSEMARTINS and you will have a closer idea of what these guys are offering you. Everyday stories that are soaked in caramel, a neverending party in which songs like "Somebody Loves You" or "Not So Clever Now" reach the peak point for all-time pop fans.

"Why Do I Get The Feeling That Your Mother Hates Me?" (nice one!) is a four-song EP featuring four feverish, histrionically fantastic themes, and what’s even better, they are exclusive for Elefant Records, for their Spanish fans and for our numerous friends all over the world. Surely Edwyn Collins would very proud of them.
