How wonderful it is to be able to announce that there’s very short time left until the release of “Pipiolas,” the second album by Paula and Adriana, and to celebrate, they bring us a beautiful and intense song full of melancholy that represents a vital ecstasy. It’s the fourth advance single from the album, and it sounds as if Lana Del Rey had written a song for Robert Smith (THE CURE). And this is how Paula tells it:
“I have always had my gaze and my thoughts fixed on nostalgia for the past and anxiety about the future, and the lyrics of my poems and songs have always gone in that direction. But one day I looked around, I looked at Adriana and saw what we have built together; I looked at Marina, Álvaro and Philip playing together while people were waiting for something from us, and I thought, ‘Fuck, I’m exactly where I want to be’. We are living the moment of our lives, the one we will want to return to when we are older and it is no longer possible. And I wanted to find a place on the map for this feeling. My grandfather, when he took my brother and me to the fair, always said: ‘Let's go to the Cañete Fair’. That wasn't its real name, but that's what he called it. And we went and we were happy. I was very happy in that place and I wasn't aware of it while it was happening, and I'll never be able to go back there in the same way. We are lucky to be aware, right now, of everything that is happening to us and to be experiencing it together. That's why I wrote this song, so we never forget that we were happy in the present”.
