Don't forget about this town!

The Milk bottles are smashed up

They are all over the pavements

The postman steals the rent cheques

But leaves you with the statements

And all around town, more shops are closing down every weekend

And I'm staying on the bus with you

Cos there's nothing else we can do!

Don't forget about this town!

The houses by the school yard

Some of them got burnt down

There's fighting on the promenade

And needles in the playground

And all around town more shops are closing down every weekend!

There's a boy over there with his girl

And they look so in love and it's beautiful

Don't forget about this town!

Shall we walk together now, and hold hands in the park

We can sit by the bowling green and stay there till it's dark

There's panic at the disco

Flowers in the cemetery

There's fighting down at bingo

And queuing outside A + E

And all around town more shops are closing down every weekend!

And I'm staying on the bus with you

Cos there's nothing else we can do

Don't forget about this town!
