One two three four
We always met up on Friday’s on a wall in the precinct
Supped a few cider’s then the snogging commenced
Oh it’s a love that happens once in a lifetime
Practically having sex on the carpet in the snug
Sadness descended as we walked past the chip shop
It followed us down to the deserted bus stop
Oh why must we do what they want us to do
It’s our night and you’re coming home with me, alright?
I had been warned not to bring her back
It was the law, an unquestioned fact
Hoping no-one was there to see
My heart stopped as I turned the key
The creaks on the stairs were waiting there like a minefield
The stupid teenagers that were gagging for it
Oh God we made it past my bedroom door
Under the covers it got so nice and warm
Then our silence was murdered and our darkness was blinded
Mother had burst in with that look on her face
Oh I knew exactly what I was in for
One of her talks about contraception, morals and all that stuff
I had been warned not to bring her back
It was the law, an unquestioned fact
Hoping no-one was there to see
My heart stopped as I turned the key
One more time
I had been warned not to bring her back
It was the law, an unquestioned fact
Hoping no-one was there to see
My heart stopped as I turned the key
